Jazz and Die, Stella Whitelaw

3rd March 2014

Jazz and Die is set at an international jazz festival in Swanage. Jordan jumps at a chance to get away from her vertiginous new flat facing the sea at Lancing, even if she has to protect an awkward and stroppy fourteen-year-old from mysterious death threats.  DI James is investigating a newly-discovered corpse – believed to be the body of a missing fifteen-year old schoolgirl – in the grounds of CorfeCastle. An umbrella lady from the jazz parade gets stabbed by her own parasol.

Soon, Jordan discovers that the events are linked by jazz, but now the killer is stalking her as well. Will the dishy DI James rescue Jordan, once again? Will his stony heart ever start to melt?  He is beginning to laugh at Jordan’s jokes…
