J. J. WHITE has had articles and stories published in several anthologies and magazines including, Pithead Chapel, Wordsmith, The Homestead Review, The Seven Hills Review, Bacopa Review, and The Grey Sparrow Journal. His story, “The Adventure of the Nine Hole League,” was published in the Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine, Volume 13. His story “The Case of the Burnt Wires” was published in the October 2020 edition of Mystery Weekly Magazine. His short stories: “Lucky Bastard Club” and “Maybe” were published in the Saturday Evening Post, 2016 and 2018 anthologies, respectively. His novels, Prodigious Savant, Deviant Acts, and Nisei were published by Black Opal Books. He was nominated for the Pushcart Prize for his short piece, “Tour Bus.” He recently won the St. Martin’s Press, “Who Can You Trust” Short Story Competition with his short story, “In Nobody We Trust,” which was published in the back of the paperback edition of Charles Cumming’s spy thriller, A Divided Spy. His works were shortlisted in the Margery Allingham Short Story and the American Short Fiction Competitions. He recently placed second in the Larry Brown Short Story competition with his piece, “Invisible.” His story, “Of Life and Death and Life” won the SCWG Short Story Competition. He lives in Merritt Island, Florida with his understanding wife and editor, Pamela.
