Jacquie Rogers had careers including advertising and university teaching before turning to historical crime writing. Her Roman Britain mystery, The Governor’s Man, is the first of a series featuring investigator Quintus Valerius. The second in the series, The Carnelian Phoenix, was published by Sharpe Books in July 2022, followed by The Loyal Centurion in August 2023. 

Linked short stories have appeared in November 2021 anthology, Imperium, and March 2023 anthology Triumphs and TragediesAn additional crime short story was featured in the Crime Writers’ Association 2024 anthology, Midsummer Mysteries.

Jacquie lives in the Malvern Hills of England with her husband Peter and their Staffie -cross, Peggy. She loves to travel by motorbike, and enjoys discussing politics, travel and books with friends. She admits to spending a lot of time in cafés and pubs when pandemics allow.
