Dea Parkin, Secretary of the CWA, has been an Associate Member since 2012 and owns and manages editorial consultancy Fiction Feedback.
Fiction Feedback was established in 2008 and provides top quality structural and copy-editing. We also provide constructive critiques on novels and short stories.
Fiction Feedback has helped authors across diverse genres, especially crime, to publish their books. Occasionally we’ve helped secure literary agents or publishing deals for the very best writers, and we also help traditionally published authors with their next books and work with publishers on commissioned novels.
Recently we introduced a bespoke book marketing course, one-to-one via Zoom or a similar platform, tailored to the individual’s marketing needs and aspirations. At the end of 2021 we launched online home study course, Crafting Crime with Diamond Dagger-winner Martin Edwards.
Dea facilitates the Debut Dagger competition and is herself a writer and playwright. Her short story ‘The Sound and the Fury’ appears in the new CWA anthology, Music of the Night.
