Robbie Morrison is the author of the Detective Inspector Jimmy Dreghorn crime thrillers, set in 1930s Glasgow, the first of which was published in March 2021 by Pan Macmillan. He was born in Helensburgh, Scotland, and grew up in the Renton, Coatbridge, Linwood and Houston. he sold his first script to publisher DC Thomson in Dundee at age 23. One of the most respected writers in the UK comics industry, he is the writer/creator of the SF/adventure series Nikolai Dante and the graphic novels Drowntown (published by Jonathan Cape) and White Death. Robbie has also scripted iconic characters Doctor Who, Judge Dredd, Batman and Spider-Man.
