Angus Marshall

Angus is a practising digital forensic scientist who runs his own company in between commuting to London to attend various committees. His first book, “Digital Forensics : digital evidence in criminal investigations” was written as an introductory guide for non-specialists, particularly law enforcement officers and the legal profession. He is currently working on a second book, on small business Information Security, with his regular academic writing partner, Brian Tompsett.

He writes the IRQ column for the quarterly Digital Forensics Magazine and is a member of the editorial board for Elsevier’s Digital Investigation journal.

If you dig deep into one or two of Val McDermid’s fiction and non-fiction books you might find his name and influence in them too.
