Lesley Kara is the Sunday Times bestselling author of psychological thrillers. Her debut, The Rumour, has been published in 18 countries and optioned for TV. The Rumour was the highest selling crime fiction debut of 2019 in the UK and a Kindle No. 1 bestseller. Since then, she has written three further novels: Who Did You Tell?, The Dare and The Apartment Upstairs.  Her next book, The Other Tenant, will be published in April 2024.

Lesley worked for many years as a lecturer and manager in a large college of further education in London. She now lives in Kent and writes full-time. Lesley is also the founder and co-host of the popular In Suspense podcast.
