Maggie Hamand is a novelist, creative writing lecturer and the author of Creative Writing For Dummies and Creative Writing Exercises for Dummies. Her first novel, The Resurrection of the Body, won the World One-Day Novel Cup in 1994, was published by Penguin and optioned for film and TV. Her latest thriller, Virgin & Child, is published by Barbican Press. Maggie Hamand has taught at Morley College, founded her own creative writing courses at The Groucho Club, been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at London University of the Arts, and a Writer in Residence at Holloway Prison.
