Jeff has worked in arts and entertainment since the mid 1970s; beginning in the theatre as a writer and director, specialising in new and contemporary drama.
An independent writer/producer/director in television since 1983, his screen credits include entertainment features, arts and documentary series, drama series and films. He is a long standing member of BAFTA.
Since turning novelist, he has written a series of thrillers set in Bristol. Four in the developing Jack Shepherd series – Closing the Distance, Changing the Odds, Cloning the Hate and Bending the Rules. And two set in the early 1950s featuring American GI Ed Grover – the opener One Fight at a Time, the latest New Friends Old Enemies, published May 2021.
New indie publisher, Diamond Crime, re-issued the Jack Shepherd collection in 2 editions in June and September 2022. Re-titled The Bristol Thrillers Volume One and Volume Two.
