Diane M Dickson, born in Yorkshire but moulded by sixties Liverpool, is the writer of crime fiction novels, short stories and poetry.
Two of her greatest passions are reading and writing and when the opportunity presented itself to self-publish some of her writing she jumped at the chance and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. However, The Book Folks took over re-publishing the novels that were already out there, and the new ones that have followed on and there are now more than twenty of her novels in the wild.!
Diane spent over twenty years in the Middle East, living in everything from luxury villas with swimming pools to concrete block accommodation with scorpions under the stairs, snakes in the basement and holes in the walls that let in the rain. She enjoyed it all and wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
Married with two children and two grandsons, Diane now lives for part of the year in the UK and the rest of it negotiating with deer in the Foret de la Double in South West France as to who has first call on the strawberries and green beans that she tries, mostly unsuccessfully, to cultivate.
Most of Diane’s novels are crime fiction although a little romance did sneak in once, of course, it had some ‘shenanigans’ going on that were a bit suspect. They have all found a space in the genre best seller rankings on Amazon. Diane has two Police Prcedural Series. The Tanya Miller series features a detective based in the Midlands. Tanya is a determined and single-minded officer with a penchant for online shopping. Meet her in the series Broken Angel, Burning Greed, Brutal Pursuit, Brazen Escape and Blurred Lines. The first three of these are now available as a box set of ebooks with the title The Oxfordshire Murders. The second series features lovely detective Jordan Carr and is based in and around the city of Liverpool. Body on the Shore, Body by the Docks, Body out of Place, Body in the Squat and Body in the Canal. All of these can be read as standalone books.
