Sanjay Dharwadker is the Denmark based debut author of Diamond in My Palm, a murder mystery based in India and South Africa. Its highlight however is the timeless history of diamonds used as a backdrop for the story.
Born and educated in India, he lived in South Africa and travelled the continent for over a decade, and now works in Europe on various aspects of individual identity – public policy, human rights, government documents and biometrics.
His first novel started as a post-colonial exploration of the two exceptional colonies of the empire, but turned into a longer and deeper saga about the travails of mortality set against the eternity of diamonds.
Till recently he lived in the historical town of Utrecht, not far from Amsterdam, cities that might be the inspiration for his next thriller.
