Linda Davies

Sub-genre:

Linda Davies gave up her day job in the City of London to write fiction. Her first novel, Nest of Vipers, has been published in over thirty countries and optioned three times by major Hollywood studios. Linda has written four more novels for adults which have been published internationally: Wilderness of Mirrors, Into the Fire, Something Wild and Final Settlement. She loves to write about strong women in extreme situations. Her latest thriller for adults, Ark Storm, will be published in the US by Tor Books (Macmillan US) and in other territories in 2014.

Linda takes inspiration for her from her work and travels. She has lived in New York, Peru and the Middle East (during which time, when sailing in the Arabian Gulf, she was kidnapped by Iranian government forces and held hostage for two weeks in Iran.)

She also writes adventure thrillers for Young Adults. She set up the Creative Writing Competition for Children and Young Adults at the Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature, and for three years was one of the judges. She lives with her husband and three children within sight and smell of the sea in Suffolk, plotting her next adventures.
