Jeremy Craddock

Jeremy Craddock is the author of two true crime books. Born in the Lake District in 1968, he has worked as a journalist since 1992, writing for many regional and national newspapers and magazines.
His latest book is THE LADY IN THE LAKE (Mirror Books. 2024), based on a real murder case he covered in Cumbria as a reporter. It is currently being developed for television.
His first book was THE JIGSAW MURDERS (The History Press, 2021), based on an Agatha Christie-era case from the 1930s. It was nominated for the 2022 CWA Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction and is being developed for television by the team behind ITV’s Vera, the BBC’s Shetland and Apple TV’s Criminal Record.
As well as his freelance journalism and writing, Jeremy also teaches multimedia journalism at Manchester Metropolitan University.
He lives in Cheshire with his wife and two children and enjoys walking, supporting Liverpool Football Club and watching old Laurel and Hardy films.
