I am the author of thirteen novels, a fact I can’t quite believe myself. My thriller OUR HOUSE won the 2019 British Book Awards Book of the Year – Crime & Thriller and is now in development for a major TV series with Red Planet Pictures, makers of ‘Death in Paradise’.
THOSE PEOPLE, about terrible neighbours, is out now and described by the Guardian as being ‘guaranteed to have you vibrating with impotent fury’. It has also been optioned for TV.
Both books have been labelled ‘property noir’, ‘real estate noir’, ‘crib lit’ and – my favourite – ‘suburban noir’. My next title THE OTHER PASSENGER, will be a bit different…
I live in a South London neighbourhood not unlike the one in my books, with my husband, teenage daughter, cat and new puppy, a fox-red Labrador called Bertie.
