Simon Paul Caldwell was born in Liverpool in 1968 and has spent more than 30 years as a journalist, including more than a decade on the foreign desk of the Daily Mail.
In autumn 2022 Gracewing Limited published his debut novel, The Beast of Bethulia Park. About a quest to unmask an NHS serial killer, the story draws on Caldwell’s freelance experience of investigating the Liverpool Care Pathway for several national newspaper titles.
Caldwell’s second crime thriller, Lady Mabel’s Gold, will be published early in 2025.
