Dan Morrison is author of The Prince and the Poisoner, the nonfiction story of an audacious murder-by-plague in Jazz Age Calcutta. A former New York tabloid crime reporter and foreign correspondent, Dan is currently an editor at the national daily USA Today, where he helps lead coverage of former President Donald Trump’s criminal cases and of the U.S. Supreme Court. His first book, The Black Nile, was praised by the Washington Post as “packed with narrow scrapes, humor and brazen feats of sheer adventure” and was named one of the best books of 2010 by the Village Voice.
