Mary Grand was born in Cardiff and has retained a deep love for her Welsh roots. She worked as a nursery teacher in London and later taught Deaf children.

Mary now lives on the Isle of Wight. The island is stunningly beautiful, yet insular and claustrophobic – the perfect setting for a whodunit. To date two stand-alone murder mysteries have been published by Boldwood books, with a third coming this year. ‘The House Party’ was a best seller on Amazon in UK, Australia and Canada and is in print, eBook and audio. This was followed by ‘The Island’, similarly available in all formats. The third novel, ‘Good Neighbours’ will be published on May 18^th 2022.
