Helen Cooper

Helen Cooper is a writer of twisty psychological thrillers.
She has a MA in Creative Writing and a background in teaching English and Academic Writing. Her short fiction has been published in Writers’ Forum, Mslexia, Woman, the Lincolnshire Echo and Derbyshire Life. She was shortlisted for the Bath Short Story Award in 2014 and came third in the Leicester Writes Short Story Prize in 2018.
Her novels The Downstairs Neighbour, The Other Guest and The Couple In The Photo are published by Hodder & Stoughton in the UK and Putnam in the US. The Downstairs Neighbour was a Sunday Times Crime Club pick, a Woman & Home book club choice, Heat’s ‘Read of the Week’ and one of Hello magazine’s ‘most anticipated reads of 2021.’
Helen lives in Leicester with her partner and cat.
