Sheila is an Irish crime writer living in Eastbourne. She has published ten crime novels to date. Her first three novels, featuring police detective Ellen Kelly, are all based in south east London. She has also written a series set in Eastbourne, featuring investigative journalist Dee Doran.
Alongside her two series, Sheila has published three stand alone novels: The Lucky Eight, Black Valley Farm and Dark Road Home.
The crime novelist, Ken Bruen, described her first novel as ‘a tour de force’, comparing Sheila’s writing to AM Homes and Anne Tyler. The influential crime fiction website, Crimesquad has described her writing as ‘a big hit of narcotics, but in paper form.’
When not writing fiction, Sheila keeps busy by swimming in the sea or going for long walks over the South Downs. She is a regular contributor to writing magazines and reviews crime fiction for crimesquad.com.
