Bernard O’Keeffe graduated from Oxford and turned to crime after a career teaching English. The Final Round, the first in a series of novels featuring D I Garibaldi, was published in 2021 by Muswell Press. The second,  Private Lessons , came out in 2023 and the third, Every Trick in the Book, was published in 2024.

He lives in Barnes, where the Garibaldi novels are set, and when he is not writing spends his time listening to Leonard Cohen, watching QPR and engaging in other similarly uplifting experiences.
