Sub-genre: , ,

Born in Halifax, Yorkshire and brought up in South Wales, Priscilla Masters is one of seven multi-racial children adopted by an orthopaedic surgeon and his Classics graduate wife.

She is the author of more than thirty crime novels. Her DI Joanna Piercy series is set in the town of Leek and the surrounding Staffordshire Moorlands while the Coroner Martha Gunn series is set in Shrewsbury. She has also penned a series featuring forensic psychiatrist Dr Claire Roget set in the Potteries and many standalone alone titles.

In the 1970s she trained as nurse at the Queens Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and is using her years as a nurse to pen a new series about a crime solving district nurse. Undue Influence featuring Nurse Florence Shaw is published by Severn House in January 2023. And good news for all DI Joanna Piercy fans. The early titles have been reprinted under new titles by Joffe Books.

Priscilla lives on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border and has two sons and two grandsons
