Lynne Truss

Lynne Truss in an author of both fiction and non-fiction, known best for her humorous bestselling book on punctuation, Eats, Shoots & Leaves. In journalism, she was literary editor of The Listener, and TV critic for The Times, where she was also a columnist and (for four years) a rather larky sports writer. On radio, she has written many dramas and comedy series, and it was one of the latter that drew her into the world of crime: her four series of Inspector Steine (Radio 4) provide the characters and setting for her new crime series for Raven Books. These books, named “The Constable Twitten Mysteries”, are set in Brighton in 1957. The first outing, A Shot in the Dark (2018), won CrimeFest’s Last Laugh Award for best humorous crime novel; the second, The Man That Got Away, was published in 2019; the third, Murder By Milk Bottle, will appear in 2020.
