Mike Gerrard has been a freelance travel writer for most of his life, working for people including National Geographic, American Express, Google, Microsoft, The Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Telegraph and many more.
He then added drinks writing to his portfolio, starting the Travel Distilled website, writing for Waitrose Drinks and other magazines and writing a history of the barrel: Cask Strength.
He thought his latest book, Behind Bars, was also a drinks book but his publisher decided, to Mike’s delight, that it was actually a True Crime book. A crime writer at last, a dream realised.
